Employee Spotlight: Ebonee Finley, Program Manager

I love working at Mercy Deliverance Ministries because it allows me to serve in the same community that raised me. One moment that stays with me is when a community elder reminded me of the power of the village and how God uses her to help others. Her words reminded me that this work is bigger than any one person. It’s about the strength we find when we come together.

I see that truth every day in the excitement on faces when we share the price of a tax-free item on the Mobile Grocery Bus or in the joy of constituents when they learn their favorite food is on this month’s Free Food Box Distribution menu. I feel it when I reconnect with old teachers and scholars I once taught as they step onto the bus, and when I listen to the heartfelt stories of our volunteers, families, and customers. For me, the people are the heart of it all, and they are why this work means so much.
